Notable events
Hours before the first performance, it was announced that Denise Welch, who had been due to play 'Mother Nature', had pulled out of the production. There were a number of reasons cited for this. Dancer Karleigh Wright stepped up and performed as 'Mother Nature', including using a script hidden in her 'spell book' for the first performance.
Sadly, this troubled production closed a day earlier than planned. This was only discovered as patrons attended the performance and found the venue locked, with an A4 sign stating the production was cancelled due to heating issues. This was far from the reported truth in the press.
